What is ceramic window tint?
Ceramic IR is Union’s carbon film with a ceramic layer added on top. The ceramic layer stops infrared — the part of sunlight you feel as heat — without making the glass any darker.
That means the shade and the heat are two separate choices. You can pick a light, legal shade for the front doors and still keep the cabin much cooler.

Is ceramic tint worth it?
If heat is your main reason for tinting, yes. Ceramic IR blocks up to 87% of infrared heat, compared with up to 75% for Carbon IR.
Is ceramic tint darker?
No. Ceramic IR comes in the same shades as our other film. The heat it blocks comes from the ceramic layer, not the darkness.
Will ceramic tint affect my phone or GPS?
No. There is no metal in ceramic film, so phone signal, GPS, radio and keyless entry all work as normal.
Can I get ceramic tint on my windshield?
Nebraska allows tint on the top of the windshield, down to the AS-1 line or 5 inches. We can fit a ceramic strip there.
How long does ceramic tint last?
Union window film comes with a lifetime warranty against cracking, bubbling, peeling and fading for as long as you own it.
How long does it take to fit?
Tint appointments are finished the same day. Drop your car off and collect it tinted.
